Lewis Crocker and Paddy Donovan will make history when they clash for the vacant IBF welterweight belt on Saturday in Belfast.

A sold-out Windsor Park will witness the first time in history two Irishmen have fought one another for a major world title.

The bout is a rematch of an initial encounter in March of this year, which was mired in controversy.

Donovan produced a dominant display and opened up a clear lead on the scorecards. This was despite being deducted points for use of the head in rounds six and eight.

In the latter of those, Crocker — cut around both eyes — was floored. When Donovan went in for the finish, he hit Crocker after the bell to drop him again. At that point, referee Marcus McDonnell disqualified Donovan and the battered Crocker was victorious.

It means there is an intriguing score to settle in the quest for a huge prize. On the undercard, another would-be Irish star is in action, while a UFC favourite debuts under the Queensberry Rules.

Lewis Crocker vs. Paddy Donovan 2 undercard

Here’s a breakdown of all the action on the Crocker vs. Donovan 2 card.

Ishmael Davis vs. Caoimhin Agyarko

  • Division/Weight: Super Welterweight
  • Davis record: 13-2
  • Agyarko record: 17-0
  • Belts at stake: N/A

Unperturbed by losing his past two fights, super welterweight prospect Ishmael Davis heads into another tough-looking encounter.

Davis rolled the dice as a late replacement for Liam Smith to take on Josh Kelly at Wembley in September last year, dropping a majority decision. That brave showing opened up an opportunity in Riyadh against dangerous Ukrainian Serhii Bohachuk, who stopped the Englishman in six.

Belfast-based Agyarko will enjoy hometown support as he seeks to inject some much-needed momentum into an unblemished but arguably underwhelming pro career to date.

Tyrone McKenna vs. Dylan Moran

  • Division/Weight: Welterweight
  • McKenna record: 24-6-1
  • Moran record: 19-3
  • Belts at stake: N/A

The other all-Irish rematch on the card after McKenna blasted out Moran inside two rounds last December.

Moran has not been in the ring since but fancies the job after McKenna suffered a punishing loss to Harlem Eubank last time out.

Indeed, the Moran win is the 35-year-old’s only victory in his past four, adding to the sense that this is a contest with careers on the line.

Ruadhan Farrell vs. Matthew Boreland

  • Division/Weight: Super Bantamweight
  • Farrell record: 7-1-1
  • Boreland record: 5-0
  • Belts at stake: Irish Super Bantamweight title

Farrell impressed on the previous Crocker vs. Donovan card with an eight-round rematch win over Gerard Hughes, with whom he shared a draw in 2023.

His reward is a shot at the vacant Irish title over 10 rounds against the undefeated but largely untested Boreland, who has gone the distance in four consecutive fights since his debut.

Pat Brown vs. Austine Nnamdi

  • Division/Weight: Cruiserweight
  • Brown record: 3-0
  • Nnamdi record: 12-5
  • Belts at stake: N/A

Hard-hitting Manchester cruiserweight Brown faces a step up in his professional journey against Nigerian-born Belfast native Nnamdi.

Brown has won all three of his bouts so far via knockout and his previous foe, Lewis Oakford, didn’t make it out of the first round.

The 25-year-old hasn’t seemed too concerned about what’s coming back the other way so far, and that might have to change against Nnamdi, who has claimed 10 of his wins by KO, albeit against moderate opposition.

Aaron Bowen vs. Carlos Miguel Ronner

  • Division/Weight: Middleweight
  • Bowen record: 6-0
  • Ronner record: 7-5
  • Belts at stake: N/A

Another Matchroom prospect who featured on the previous Crocker vs. Donovan card, Bowen scored a fourth career KO against Mykola Vovk last time out.

Argentine visitor Ronner has lost two of his past three, with a DQ win separating those defeats.

Molly McCann vs. Kate Radomska

  • Division/Weight: Bantamweight
  • McCann record: Debut
  • Radomska record: 1-2
  • Belts at stake: N/A

UFC favourite McCann has decided to change codes and go back to her roots, presumably late on in her combat career at 35 years of age.

‘Meatball’ will face the Irish-based Radomska, who is on a four-fight losing streak but has mixed in good company against the likes of Shannon Ryan, Chloe Watson and Maisey Rose Courtney.
