Caoimhin Kelleher is a two-time Premier League winner and has proven time and again that he is capable of stepping up when needed at Liverpool.
The Irishman is a fan favourite, and Liverpool supporters would happily see him stay at Anfield for years to come, but the ‘keepers’ desire to be a number one is very justified.

EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool ready to sign midfielder BETTER than Martin Zubimendi
His impressive performances for the Reds over the past few seasons are proof that Kelleher is ready to play week in week out in the Premier League, but the excellence of Alisson means he won’t receive that opportunity in Merseyside anytime soon.
A number of clubs around the division are monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation, and a move away this summer looks almost certain, but a new side have now entered the race.
Leeds join the Kelleher race
Speaking to Leeds United News, transfer insider Graeme Bailey has revealed that Leeds are the latest team to register interest in Liverpool’s backup goalkeeper.
The report claims that Newcastle, Bournemouth, West Ham and Nottingham Forest are also interested, and that the club will demand between £30-£40 million for a deal to be done.

Leeds club record singing is Georginio Rutter, who joined for £35.5 million and, with so many teams in the race, it’s likely Kelleher’s price will reach the top end of the price bracket, meaning he could become Leeds’ record signing.
A deal for Kelleher would take a large chunk of the Yorkshire club’s transfer kitty, but having a top ‘keeper like the Irishman at their disposal could go a long way towards them reasserting themselves as a Premier League side.
Where will Kelleher end up?
Leeds do represent a compelling option for Kelleher. He would be guaranteed minutes and current first choice Illan Meslier looks like he’s on the way out.
Newcastle and Nottingham Forest may both be able to offer Kelleher Champions League football, but both sides already have an established no.1 and minutes may be hard to come by.
Both Bournemouth and West Ham have options between the sticks, but Kelleher could definitely come in and compete for a starting place without issue.
As it stands, Leeds seem to be the only club where Kelleher would be the unquestionable first choice and, if the Irishman’s main motivation is playing time, they seem like the best option.

Liverpool supporters will be sad to see Kelleher go, but will no doubt wish the Irishman all the best as he tries to cement himself as a first choice Premier League goalkeeper.
