The wait continues for LeBron James’ latest decision.
This is the fourth time James has positioned himself to make a team decision. His last three free agency periods lasted a combined 18 days. The NBA has reached Day 25 of its free agency period without an announcement from the four-time MVP.

Members of the league and the basketball community have reportedly grown frustrated with the duration of James’ decision-making process.
“We are taking this thing very seriously, but at the same time, we are having fun. I think it’s good for the fans,” James’ agent, Rich Paul, told ESPN during an interview on July 10. “… I just tell him, take your time, (and) whenever you’re ready, just let me know.”
The social media conversation centered around James earlier this week included the idea of a potential return to the Miami Heat. Team president Pat Riley and the Miami organization have been considered the odds-on favorites to land James after a blunder with the social media department.
Miami’s social media team accidentally published a scheduled YouTube livestream titled “LeBron James Introductory Press Conference.” It was later deleted.

The Golden State Warriors were also favored this week. James joining Golden State would reunite him with Olympic teammate Stephen Curry and coach Steve Kerr.

A Cleveland sports radio host is just about done anticipating whether LeBron James will return to the Cavaliers or join another team.

ESPN Cleveland sports radio host Tony Rizzo hopes James chooses the Cavs, but he’s not losing sleep over awaiting the announcement. At this point, it is what it is.
“I am now going to resign myself to the fact that he’s not coming back, and if he does, great,” Rizzo said.
Is LeBron stalling decision for AD, Kyrie?

Yahoo Sports’ Kevin O’Connor seems to wonder if LeBron James’ decision is contingent on whether one of his preferred teams can, or will, trade for one of his former teammates in Anthony Davis or Kyrie Irving.
However, the real question is whether either are even available on the trade block. The Washington Wizards reportedly plan to have discussions with Davis about his extension when he’s eligible on Aug. 6. Reports say that Washington has no plans to trade Davis.
