It’s Day 24 and still no sign or peep from LeBron James about where his next NBA destination will be for his 24th season.

If it feels like this process has been drawn out, it’s because it kind of has. And that could be intentional.

It’s been thrown out into the realm of possibilities that James and company are purposefully stalling the decision to stick it to NBA commissioner Adam Silver after he pleaded for James to rush into his choice so the season schedule can be finalized and released.

Cleveland sports radio personality Andy Baskin said Silver’s comments “irritated” James.

“LeBron’s crew was probably ready to make an announcement… they were probably comfortable making an announcement as early as last week that they were there (in New York) and then people were like telling them what to do,” Baskin said. “There’s a little bit of irritation. Irritated was the word that I was told, irritated by the commissioner pushing them.”

James is no longer courting teams and has all the information he needs to make a decision, according to USA TODAY Sports’ Lorenzo Reyes.

The team James is likely to play his 24th NBA season with is a toss up between the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers.

As of late, the Heat have emerged as the odds-on favorite after the organization’s social media department accidentally leaked a scheduled live stream video titled “LeBron James Introductory Press Conference,” which caused a raucous amongst basketball fans and media alike.
