Kaprizov, 27, recorded a goal and an assist in the Wild’s 3-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens. He is up to ten goals and 20 assists in 16 games this season.

His 30 points in 16 games broke a franchise record as the fastest player to record 30 points to start the season. He previously set this record in 2022-23 in 22 games.

According to NHL Stats, Kaprizov became the third player born outside North America in the past 15 years to reach the 30-point mark in 16 or fewer games, joining Leon Draisaitl (14 GP in 2021-22) and David Pastrnak (15 GP in 2019-20).

“Yeah, he was exactly what he’s been all year. He’s awesome,” Matt Boldy said on Kaprizov’s pass that resulted in Boldy’s goal. “So lucky to get out there with him. And yeah, it’s a great play he made.”

Kaprizov also recorded his 11th multi-point performance which is tied with the NHL’s leading scorer Nathan MacKinnon.
