Good morning, BBN!

One common theme across all of Coach Pope’s teams has been injuries.

According to KSR’s Jack Pilgrim, junior wing Trent Noah has re-aggravated the hamstring injury that bothered him earlier this summer.

Noah originally tweaked the hamstring in July, with Mark Pope calling it “a nothing” at the time, but he later missed UK’s final open practice of the summer.

Now, the latest setback is expected to keep Noah out during the preseason and could potentially linger into Kentucky’s exhibition schedule.

It’s another injury concern for a Wildcats roster that has already dealt with several this offseason and far too many under Pope.

Kam Williams missed summer practices after undergoing a second procedure on the foot he broke last season, though Pope has expressed confidence he’ll be available for the season.

Franck Kepnang was also limited for much of the summer as Kentucky carefully managed his return from previous leg injuries.

More recently, star transfer Milan Momcilovic suffered a jammed index finger on his shooting hand. While initial reports feared a break, further testing brought better news, and he is expected back around the start of fall practice, though he’s currently sidelined.

Kentucky still has time before the games count, but staying healthy is quickly becoming a recurring storyline in Lexington.
