New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson commented Thursday on his phenomenal, one-handed touchdown catch during Thursday night’s win over the Houston Texans being compared to Odell Beckham Jr.’s iconic 2014 catch.

Speaking to reporters after the Jets’ 21-13 win, Wilson said the following when asked to compare his catch to OBJ’s:

“For it to even come up in that convo, I’m blessed, I’m honored,” Wilson said. “But, yeah man, Odell, that’s that boy.”

Wilson’s catch could prove to be a season-saving play for the Jets since he made the one-handed catch in the end zone on a third-and-19 play with New York trailing 10-7 in the fourth quarter.

Wilson was initially ruled out of bounds, but upon further review, it was determined that his shin hit down in bounds before his knee hit out of bounds, making it a catch and a touchdown.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers went on to add another touchdown pass to Davante Adams, and the Texans were unable to answer with a touchdown of their own, leading to an eight-point loss.
