Jets running back Braelon Allen has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against the Miami Dolphins after leaving with a knee injury in the second quarter.
Allen got injured on a kickoff return following a Miami touchdown that gave the Dolphins a 10-0 lead. After getting tackled near the 25-yard line, Allen's left knee bent awkwardly and the 21-year-old stayed on the ground in pain for several minutes.
He walked off the field under his own power, but after spending some time in the medical tent he was ruled out for the rest of the game.
The running back fumbled the ball near the goal-line in the first quarter to end a promising opening drive for the Jets in which he, Breece Hall and Justin Fields ran through Miami's defense. Allen finished with 26 yards on four carries.
