Things may not be that bad for the New York Giants after all.

The Giants started the season 1-4 and appeared on their way to another disappointing season, but they were able to hit the reset button on Thursday with a massive 34-17 upset win over the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles.

In his third start of his NFL career, rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart once again impressed, throwing for 195 yards and a touchdown while adding 59 rushing yards and a score on the ground.

But Dart wasn’t the only rookie to show out on Thursday. Cam Skattebo, the Giants’ fourth-round pick out of Arizona State, rushed for 98 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Giants fans hyped the rookie duo after the massive win.

Giants fans shouldn’t buy tickets to the Super Bowl just yet. After all, New York lost to a bad New Orleans Saints team just last week. But it’s fair to say that the future is looking bright for the Giants, especially when considering star wide receiver Malik Nabers isn’t even playing right now.

For now, New York will look to string together some wins and build some confidence.
