Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis and Eimantas Stanionis vie for welterweight supremacy in Atlantic City on Saturday night.
Stepping out at the cherished Boardwalk Hall, Ennis (33-0, 29 KOs) and Stanionis (15-0, 9 KOs) put their unbeaten records on the line.
Philadelphia native Ennis will enter the ring as the IBF champion, with Lithuania’s 2016 Olympian Stanionis holding the WBA title.
“This means a lot and I look forward to taking all these belts to Lithuania on Sunday. I’m winning Saturday night by going all gas, no brakes,” Stanionis said, promising an all-action performance.
Ennis retorted: “I’m not going to look for a knockout, but it’s coming. We’re going to have fun. We’re going to show out. He said all gas, no breaks. He’s going to run right into a rock.”
