For the fight time, Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions will host a “Fight Night” card in Orlando. The MVP Fight Night event on August 23 will feature various interim title fights and rising contenders.
The main event will see Yankiel Rivera face Angelino Cordova for the interim WBA flyweight title.
A 2019 Pan American Games bronze medalist and a five-time National Champion, Rivera (7-0) is number one in the WBA’s flyweight rankings. The 27-year-old recently signed with MVP and looks to make a statement in Florida.
“Fighting for the WBA interim World Championship is both an honor and another great challenge that I must face… You can be sure of one thing, I’ve been preparing for this moment since I first put on a pair of gloves,” said Rivera. “The belt and the opponent I’m facing only fuel my hunger for working hard and win.”
