Jake Paul got exactly what he wanted following his fight against Mike Tyson at AT&T Stadium: All the headlines that came from it, positive and negative. He also got challenged from all aspects of combat sports, from MMA fighters to boxers, retired and active.
One of the YouTuber’s biggest accomplishments may have been convincing world champions to defend their titles against him, leading to fear of him potentially holding gold.
Paul is the most wanted man in boxing after the 27-year-old fought the 58-year-old Tyson. Tyson looked his age as he couldn’t move like he used to, a knee brace and previous health issues affecting him. “The Problem Child” won via unanimous decision, and many cut influencer boxing off after that night.
However, the event was deemed a success, with over 60 million households tuning in on Netflix, while the event drew the biggest gate ($18.1 million) for any boxing or MMA event outside of Las Vegas in U.S. history. Those numbers, to many, equal big paydays and massive exposure.

The chance to earn money and potentially take out Paul sounds enticing to world champions Artur Beterbiev and Daniel Dubois.
While Paul is getting called out by the likes of Carl Froch and Jorge Masvidal, and while he has an interest in fighting Canelo Alvarez down the road, social media was buzzing when Beterbiev and Dubois put him on notice.
Beterbiev (21-0) recently became undisputed light heavyweight champion in a Fight of the Year contender against Dmitry Bivol. With 20 wins via knockout, the hard-hitting fighter may face Bivol in a rematch.
However, the Russian with Canadian citizenship called out Paul to a fight, shocking many in the combat sports world.
“@jakepaul what can you do in ring against the current undisputed champion? Just know that I’m always open to any suggestions,” Beterbiev said.
Paul saw an opportunity and responded on social media, while still trolling everyone mad at his fight.
“Just seen this….top 5 pound for pound fighter in the world calling me out. Hahahahahaha. 4 years in and I run this sport,” Paul said.

Beterviev responded by asking: “After four years it’s time to have serious challenges. Didn’t notice your acceptance or rejection. So what are we gonna do?”
Beterbiev just commented on a social media post. Daniel Dubois, the IBF heavyweight champion, slid into Paul’s direct messages to challenge him.

Dubois (22-2) is on an epic three-fight win streak after failing to win gold against Oleksandr Usyk.
The 27-year-old took out Filip Hrgovic in an upset and shocked British boxing fans when he knocked out former world champion Anthony Joshua.
The contender for Fighter of the Year has several challengers looking to face him in 2025. Could Paul cut the line?
“Hi Jake, good business on the weekend but how would you feel fighting for the legitimate heavyweight championship of the world this is Daniel Dubois calling you out. Let’s get it on,” Dubois said.
“Dynamite” fought on one of Paul’s undercards in 2021 when the latter faced Tyron Woodley, so they have a history of working together. It is unknown whether promoter Frank Warren or the IBF would sanction the fight.
Paul seems up for it, appearing more open to that than the Beterbiev fight.
Man been boxing for 12 years, has over 100 fights between amateur and pro and fought on my undercard…hahaha
But fuck it…I’m going to have Nakisa talk to Frankie Warren and get you in line for the throne. Unlike Artur, at least you have a few thousand fans pic.twitter.com/J2CWIkYRZQ

“Man been boxing for 12 years, has over 100 fights between amateur and pro and fought on my undercard…hahaha,” was the response.
“But f— it … I’m going to have Nakisa [Bidarian] talk to [Frank] Warren and get you in line for the throne. Unlike Artur [Beterbiev] at least you have a few thousand fans,” said Paul.
The world may not be ready for a Jake Paul title run. Whether they like it or not, it looks closer to a reality than a thought.
