The current AFC South Division leaders, the Jacksonville Jaguars, will be on the road for Week 2 to face off against the Denver Broncos. The Jaguars and Broncos series is tied 8-8. Experts do not like the Jags’ odds, but here’s hoping they deliver the upset two seasons in a row and take the series lead while we revisit Jacksonville in Denver through the decades.

The 2020s

Week 16 on December 21, 2025, at Empower Field at Mile High
Final Score: Jaguars 34 – Broncos 20
Attendance: 76,858

The two teams traded punts during the first quarter, until the Broncos decided to go for it on fourth down and get the needed yardage for a field goal. Unfortunately for them, Lutz’s kick hit the uprights. The Jaguars’ offense started cooking, leading to a Parker Washington touchdown. The Broncos started the second quarter striking back with a touchdown by Sutton and a field goal by Lutz to bring Denver’s lead to 10-7. Strange puts another seven on the board for Jacksonville, and following a punt by the Broncos, Cam Little increases the lead by three. The second half starts with the two teams trading touchdowns. With roughly four minutes left in the third quarter, the offense scores again for Jacksonville. The Broncos try to decrease the deficit but fumble the ball, and the Jags recover. Little’s kick is good to increase the lead to 34-17. Denver kicks a field goal, and Jarrian Jones intercepts the ball during their next drive. The Jags succeed with the upset.
