Entering the final round of the American Century Golf Championship on Sunday, where does Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence stand on the leaderboard?

After Day 1, Lawrence was in 86th place out of 90 participants at -18. While typically, seeing a minus with your golf score is a good sign, that isn’t the case in this event.

In this tournament, players are awarded–or subtracted points–based on what they score on a hole. For example, an eagle is worth six points, a birdie three points, and a par is one point. A double-bogey or worse, however, is minus two points from your score.

On Day 2, Lawrence had a much better day, finishing with -1 points compared to the -18 he was at after Day 1. So in total, Lawrence is at -19 points, which is tied for 75th.

Before the tournament, Lawrence said he was hoping to finish in the top 40. Currently +8 is tied for 39th. Leading the tournament are Joe Pavelski and Taylor Twellman at +44.

“I’d rank my game up there with some of my teammates,” Lawrence said before the tournament. “There’s definitely a couple guys that are better than me, but on my team, I think could hold my own. Some of the guys that are here, the other quarterbacks in the league, they can play. They’re pretty solid players, so they might be a little bit better than I am.”
