United States President Donald Trump has a long history of winning dubious championships at his own golf courses, and that continued again this weekend.
Over the weekend, Trump announced that he had won the club championship at his Bedminster golf club in both the Senior and Super Senior divisions after posting a score of 70. While many found this claim to be completely unbelievable, Trump insists that it was simply a matter of natural talent.

Trump ‘Wins’ Championship
On Sunday, a video emerged showing Trump being recognized for what was described as his 43rd club championship victory at one of his golf properties.
“Please join me in congratulating the President of the United States for winning the Super Senior and Senior division with a great score of 70,” a commentator said at the event.
The person filming the ceremony also expressed admiration for Trump’s achievement.
“President of the United States,” the person said. “Super Senior and the Senior – he won both. He won both. That’s amazing. Best president of our lifetime. He won.”

‘It’s called TALENT’
Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday, where he broke his silence on the latest championship while sharing a video of the final shot.
“The Winning Shot in the Bedminster Club Championship! Thank you very much to all of those who participated. I won with a score of 70, and am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, because I’m focused on many other things. It’s called TALENT, and I have it, and they don’t!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
According to Meidas Touch Editor-in-Chief Ron Filipkowski, this is the 43rd championship that Trump has claimed at one of his clubs.

Trump’s History of Cheating
While Trump may have claimed dozens of championships at his golf courses over the years, there’s reason to be a bit skeptical.
Several years ago, he drew widespread attention when he shockingly declared himself the winner of the senior club championship at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, despite missing half of the tournament while attending a funeral more than 600 miles away. And that’s far from the only incident.
Golf writer Rick Reilly documented Trump’s history on the course in the New York Times bestselling book Commander in Cheat. He has recounted several times instances in which Trump claimed tournament victories despite not posting the lowest score.

According to Reilly, Trump has accumulated club championships under unusual circumstances, including winning events in which he was the only competitor, submitting a winning score while playing somewhere else, and adding his name to championship displays regardless of the actual outcome.
