For only the second Sunday since the start of the 2025 season, the NASCAR Cup Series is off on June 29.

The Cup Series raced on a Saturday night for the first time this year in the Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway, with Chase Elliott claiming the victory with a last-lap pass of Brad Keselowski.

There are three more Saturday races remaining on the Cup Series schedule — Richmond, the annual regular season finale at Daytona and the Bristol night race.

Eight regular season races remain on the Cup Series schedule, starting with the Chicago Street Course next Sunday, July 6.

The Xfinity Series (June 27 at Atlanta, won by Nick Sanchez) and Craftsman Truck Series (June 28 at Lime Rock Park, won by Corey Heim) have also already competed this weekend.

No. The Cup Series ran the Quaker State 400 at Atlanta on June 28.

It was an eventful Saturday evening in central Georgia.

A 21-car wreck early in Stage 2 knocked out several contenders, including Denny Hamlin, William Byron, Joey Logano, Ross Chastain and others. Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch were among the drivers who continued on but could not keep pace with the leaders.

Chris Buescher, Tyler Reddick, Alex Bowman, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Keselowski and Elliott were the main players in the final 20 laps, though Keselowski took control with a couple laps to go.

But Elliott, being pushed by teammate Bowman, passed Keselowski through turns 1 and 2 on the final lap. Bowman elected to battle Keselowski for second instead of possibly pushing the No. 6 Ford to Elliott, and the Georgia native claimed the victory.

Elliott is now locked into the NASCAR playoffs with his first win of the year and within striking distance of William Byron for the regular-season points lead, while Keselowski was left with a rather empty runner-up finish.
