Inter Milan will offer a new contract to striker Marcus Thuram this summer.
Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via TuttoMercatoWeb, report that the Nerazzurri will aim to remove the release clause in the striker’s current deal.
Striker Marcus Thuram has really underlined his importance to Inter Milan this season.
The 27-year-old is currently the Nerazzurri’s top scorer in Serie A, with thirteen goals. He also has four assists in the league so far this campaign.
Meanwhile, Thuram is set to have a big role over the next few matches.
With Inter captain Lautaro Martinez recovering from a muscle injury. the pressure will fall on Thuram’s shoulders to carry the team’s attack.
The Frenchman will start alongside Joaquin Correa against Udinese tomorrow. Then, it will likely be Marko Arnautovic partnering Thuram in attack against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia.

Considering Thuram’s importance to Inter, the Frenchman has certainly earned consideration for a new contract.
The Frenchman signed a five-year deal when he joined Inter on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.
But now, the Nerazzurri are ready to reward Marcus Thuram with a contract extension with a wage increase.
And a key part of this will be getting rid of a release clause in the deal.
And there will also naturally be a pay increase for the Frenchman.
However, in ant event, report Mediaset, Inter will not start the contract talks with Thuram until the summer transfer window begins.
