Inter Milan have made their move. The Italian champions have launched a formal bid for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise wing-back Anan Khalaili, looking to quickly plug the gap left by Denzel Dumfries after his big-money move to Real Madrid.
Inter lead chase for Belgian league breakout star Anan Khalaili, targeted by Aston Villa and Everton
According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, relayed by the Sport Witness, the Nerazzurri are making quick moves. They want this done. While the Italian side feel incredibly secure about wrapping up a deal, names like Aston Villa and Everton have suddenly been tossed into the mix.

It smells like a classic transfer market game. Union SG want a bidding war to push the price toward the €30 million mark, or perhaps the player’s agent is simply using English interest to get a fatter paycheck in Milan. Either way, Inter aren’t sweating the Premier League rumours. Goodison Park feels miles away from this one.

The 21-year-old winger had a seriously busy 2025/26 season in Belgium, bagging six goals and six assists across 52 games. He’s got sensational pace. He’s got a massive work rate. He handles the entire right flank on his own, and with 16 senior international caps for Israel, he isn’t short on experience.

But €30 million? For Everton, that is a massive gamble on a raw talent when the squad has much bigger, more urgent holes to fill. David Moyes needs reliable, battle-tested Premier League players, not an expensive project. Blowing a huge chunk of a tight summer budget on someone who already has his heart set on a five-year deal at the San Siro is just bad business. The Merseysiders need to focus their cash on proven domestic talent instead of getting dragged into a fake auction. It makes zero sense to chase a player who wants silverware in Italy.
