Barcelona coach Hansi Flick says injured striker Robert Lewandowski will undergo medical tests on Sunday: ‘We have to wait and see.’
The Poland international suffered a thigh injury during a La Liga match against Celta Vigo on Saturday.
The Catalans will meet Inter in the Champions League semifinals, with the first leg taking place in Catalonia on April 30.
Flick spoke about Lewandowski’s injury during post-match interviews today.
The Barcelona coach told DAZN España that Lewa would undergo medical tests tomorrow.
He then added during a post-match press conference: “We have to wait, wait and see. In my experience, we have to wait until tomorrow and see what happens.”
Lewandowski has scored 11 Champions League goals this season, three more than Inter star Lautaro Martinez, but the Argentine has a better minute-per-goal ratio in Europe’s elite competition this season.
Lewandowski has scored 40 goals in 48 appearances across all competitions this term.
The second leg semifinal between Inter and Barcelona will be played on May 6 at the Stadio Meazza in San Siro.
