Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to be at Milan‘s training ground during the international break to bring unity and trust back to the squad after the recent issues emerged during their 2-1 defeat at Fiorentina last weekend.

The Rossoneri’s second Serie A defeat of the season was marked by behaviours that once again questioned coach Paulo Fonseca’s stewardship, such as the dismissal of captain Theo Hernandez after the final whistle and the chaos over the team’s penalty takers, with Tammy Abraham going from the spot instead of Christian Pulisic without authorisation.

Following such disruptive events, the club’s senior advisor will be at Milanello in the hope of restoring the team’s serenity by talking with the players and ensuring them his support.

Ibrahimovic set to talk with Tomori and Abraham after recent chaos

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will visit Milanello during the two-week international break after recent scenes undermined the serenity of the team during Milan’s away loss against Fiorentina.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Swede’s presence at the Rossoneri’s training ground will be key to ‘talking to the group’ and bringing ‘trust’ back.

Notably, Ibrahimovic is expected to talk to his former teammate Fikayo Tomori and striker Tammy Abraham. The English duo were involved in a scene that saw the defender leap to take the ball and hand it to the latter, encouraging him to shoot from the penalty spot in place of Christian Pulisic, who was the designated taker as explained by Fonseca after the match.

The former Rossoneri star will also give his support to other players who won’t be on international duty, such as Davide Calabria, Emerson Royal and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as well as sharing views with Fonseca, who already lost four games as Milan manager across all competitions.
