The Travelers Championship has an unscheduled Monday finish after the final round was delayed due to weather. Everyone got through their final 18 holes, but Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland are tied and need a playoff.

Each shot 21-under through 72 holes, and there wasn’t time to break the deadlock on Sunday night

That means that on Monday, two of the world’s best golfers will return to the course.

Things could finish as quickly as a single hole, or they could go on for a while.

The playoff could be over in as little as one hole, or it could technically go on forever.

What holes do they play?

The entire playoff will take place on the 18th hole.

What’s the format?

It’s sudden death right from the outset.

Scheffler and Hovland will each play 18. If one posts a better score than the other, they’re the winner. If they tie, they play 18 again, and they keep playing 18 until their scores differ.
