He finished at 1-under overall and tied for eighth across the three-round event. JP Lynch of Austin, Texas won the event at 8-under.
Woods finished his tournament with the type of round that has been characteristic of his tournament appearance, offsetting five birdies with four bogeys. Overall, he carded 14 birdies and 13 bogeys in the event.
Here are some highlights from his final round:
-
On No. 10, Woods nearly holed out his approach shot for an eagle and carded birdie.
-
On No. 11, he sunk a 15-foot birdie putt to pull into the tournament top 10.
-
After a par on No. 12, he ran into tough luck, lipping out on birdie putts at No. 13, 14 and 15.
-
On No. 16, he hooked his tee shot deep into the trees and punched out to later save par.
-
On the famous “Island Green,” Woods played long and left, two-putting from 25 feet.
The Junior Players Championship will go down as undeniable success for Woods. It’s his best finish in a junior golf tournament with a national field since he won the 2025 Team TaylorMade Invitational at Streamsong Resort (Black) in Bowling Green, Florida.
