After struggling at The Masters in April, then watching as funding was pulled from LIV Golf, putting his professional future up in the air, DeChambeau came into Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania seeking to overcome his recent misfortunes.

Instead, they’ve only piled on. DeChambeau is tracking to miss the cut at the 2026 PGA Championship, which would be the first time since 2019 he’s failed to reach the third round of the tournament.

Here’s a look at DeChambeau’s worst performances in majors and where this year’s PGA Championship struggles fall.

Bryson DeChambeau worst finishes at PGA Championship

DeChambeau’s appearance at Aronimink this year was his ninth at the PGA Championship. In four of those years, he had top-4 finishes, including sole possession of second place with a -20 score in 2024 and a tie for second in 2025 with a score of -6.

But if his score holds, DeChambeau’s missed cut in 2026 would mark the third time, and first since 2019, that he has failed to play into the third round of a PGA Championship. Sitting at +10 after two rounds, that would be DeChambeau’s worst career score at the event.

In 2018 when he missed the cut, DeChambeau sat at +1, and in 2019, he missed the cut at +6.

Bryson DeChambeau’s worst major performances

Both of DeChambeau’s performances at the 2026 majors so far are among his worst.

However, it’s unlikely he’ll top his worst-ever score at a major, which is a tie between two tournaments — first, at the 2017 Open Championship. DeChambeau, playing in the fifth major of his young career, scored a +13 at that event, missing the cut. Then, he also posted a +13 at the 2022 U.S. Open, imploding over the weekend after a fine start.

In 2026, DeChambeau has now missed the cut at +6 at The Masters and is tracking to do the same by sitting at +10 at the PGA Championship.

Bryson DeChambeau PGA Championship history

While it’s not his worst score at a major, DeChambeau’s performance over the last two days in Pennsylvania would be his worst at a PGA Championship.

The major has typically been one of his better events, especially in recent years, but DeChambeau’s 2026 score of +10 would be the worst he’s posted since his 2017 PGA Championship debut.
