After Conor McGregor was found by a jury in Dublin, Ireland to be liable for the rape of Nikita Hand, IO Interactive has made the decision to stop collaborating with the famous mixed martial artist.
McGregor, the former UFC double champ, appeared in “Hitman: World of Assassination” as a special Elusive Target in the game, which features a man, Agent 47, trying to accomplish various infiltration-based objectives.
The character modeled after and using the voice-work of ‘The Notorious’ was ‘the Disruptor.’ He first appeared in a mission where Agent 47 must navigate a secret organizations high-society party to kill McGregor’s mysterious multi-millionaire MMA fighter in-game, as well as protecting the CEO fighting him.
The mission featuring McGregor’s character returned on November 15 and was set to run until December 8. A $5 DLC pack was also sold which would give players permanent access to Conor.
IO Interactive has thus far not suggested that players who have already purchased this content will have it removed from their consoles.
The decision to end the collaboration was announced Monday morning on Hitman’s social media.

McGregor has been ordered by an Irish court to pay the equivalent of $260,500 to Ms. Hand for damages from the 2018 assault. The fighter will not face any criminal penalties, as authorities decided not to seek prosecution.
