Ever since making his professional boxing debut in 2020, Jake Paul has been called out by a number of professional fighters. Most recently, it was global boxing superstar Ryan Garcia who joined the list.
As of now, Garica is set to enter the squared circle for an exhibition bout against former kickboxing champion Rukiya Anpo in December. Ahead of the bout, Garcia has made his desire of wanting to fight Paul known.
It is worth noting that Garcia and Paul have had a friendly relationship over the years, but that’s changed somewhat in recent weeks. Now Garcia has Paul at the top of his hit list for his first fight of 2025. During an interview with Ariel Helwani, he said:
“He was trying to beat up on Uncle Mike [Tyson]. Like I said, the same way I feel about Manny Pacquiao, the same way I feel about this. We said we would run it one day. He came to my gym a long time ago in Victorville, then he came to visit me with the [Saul] ‘Canelo’ [Alvarez] camp — this is before he boxed. So I kind of gave birth to his boxing career, so I’m here to end it. That’s it.”
Ryan Garcia listed potential fights when he returns from his suspension in 2025:

– Devin Haney rematch
– Gervonta Davis rematch
