NASCAR’s best drivers are heading to Circuit of the Americas for the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix NASCAR Cup Series race.

Among the fans heading to COTA, there will be plenty of first-time fans. If you are a first-time fan, you’re in for a treat to see NASCAR in person for the first time.

When is NASCAR COTA race?

The EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT on Sunday, March 2 at COTA in Austin, Texas. The race is set for 68 laps and cover 231.88 miles at the 17-turn multielevational racetrack.

Stop by the merchandise haulers at COTA

Fans, especially the kids, love to stop by the merchandise haulers in the Fan Zone. There are specific haulers for each team (for example, Hendrick Motorsports with merchandise for Alex Bowman, William Byron, Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson) and include shirts, hats, diecast cars and other items to remember the trip to the racetrack.

Hit the Fan Zone at COTA

There is so much happening in the Fan Zone. The best part is walking around, interacting with other fans and seeing all the attractions including shows and performances. There are also vendors with booths around the Fan Zone handing out free giveaways.

Additionally, there are games and other fun things to do around the Fan Zone before the race. Get out and explore it all.

Grab some concessions, get some food at COTA

There are concession stands around the facility with several options. Turn 3 has a bar and an Asian Express, turn 12 has two bars. Turn 1, near the Fan Zone, has all kinds of concessions with several bars, BBQ joints, burgers, chicken and hot dogs along with a pizza place. There’s a little bit of everything to hit the spot.

The assortment of bars, BBQ spots and dessert options seem rather appealing.

Get to your seat to see NASCAR COTA race

After you experience the Fan Zone and get some food, make sure to get up to your seats no matter where they are. Getting up and seeing the race is the most exciting part of the entire weekend.

If you do make purchases from the merchandise trailers, make sure to keep an eye on the bags and do not forget them under the seats when you get up to leave the racetrack.

Seeing the racing is the best part of the weekend, the high-speed and technical action around COTA creates one of the more thrilling events on the NASCAR schedule.
