England captain Harry Kane has revealed he played a round of golf with President Donald Trump around 18 months ago.
The 32-year-old striker is in World Cup action on Saturday as England face Norway in a bid to book their spot in the final four of the competition.

Kane is also very much still in the race for the Golden Boot, as his tally of goals (6) is just two behind Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe (8).
England caught the attention of Trump over the weekend after their impressive win at the Azteca against Mexico.
Trump praised Kane for his performance over social media, with the Bayern Munich striker now recalling their previous meeting on a golf course just over a year ago.

What Harry Kane said about Donald Trump’s golf game
Kane is well-known for enjoying golf outside of football and has a reputation as one of the best golfers on the England team.
The England captain has some strong connections in the United States, with Kane and Tom Brady forming a good relationship over the years.

“I played all right. We played about 18 months ago… he invited me to play when I was down in Palm Beach,” Kane told The Telegraph.
“When the President invites you somewhere… it was a pretty surreal experience just to meet him and obviously play golf with him.”
“His golf is pretty good. I hope I can play golf as good as him when I am his age, that’s for sure. So, a unique experience, I was just grateful that he invited me down to play with him…”
Kane will have a supporter in Trump on Saturday when he takes to the pitch again to face Norway.
The President has admitted he is not the biggest soccer fan, but he is aware of just how good Kane is with the ball at his feet.

However, it seems the President’s golf game – at his age – surprised the England captain.
Perhaps another round will be in order when the World Cup concludes.
