NASCAR has welcomed another celebrity into the garage.
Food Network star and restaurateur Guy Fieri has officially joined Legacy Motor Club as a strategic owner, becoming part of the ownership group led by seven-time Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson.

The announcement gives one of NASCAR’s fastest-evolving organizations another recognizable face away from the racetrack while adding one of America’s most recognizable lifestyle brands to the sport.
Rather than serving as a passive investor, Legacy Motor Club says Fieri’s role will extend into fan engagement, branded content and merchandise designed to connect racing with food and lifestyle culture.
Legacy Motor Club continues to expand beyond racing
Legacy Motor Club announced Thursday that Fieri has joined the organization as a strategic owner alongside Johnson, NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty, Grammy Award-winning musician Darius Rucker and Allegiant Travel CEO Maury Gallagher.

The team said Fieri’s involvement will go beyond ownership, with plans for collaborative content, licensed merchandise and fan experiences throughout the NASCAR season.
“Motorsports and race cars have always had that raw energy I love, the people, the passion, the culture, the speed,” Fieri said in a statement. “Legacy Motor Club is building something different, and I wanted to be part of it. This is about more than racing. It’s about creating a brand that connects with fans everywhere, from the track to the table.”
Johnson believes Fieri’s personality fits exactly what the organization is trying to become.
“Guy has built an incredible brand by being authentic and connecting with people in a real way,” Johnson said in the team’s announcement. “That’s at the heart of what we’re building here. We want Legacy to reach far beyond race day, and Guy’s creativity, energy, and perspective are exactly what this ownership group is about.”

Fieri has been around NASCAR for years
Although this is Fieri’s first ownership role in NASCAR, he is far from new to the sport.
The longtime automotive enthusiast has attended races for years and previously served as the honorary pace car driver for the Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway in 2021. He’s also well known for his collection of classic American performance cars, including a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS that has appeared on his television shows.
His arrival continues a broader trend of high-profile personalities investing in NASCAR ownership, following names such as Michael Jordan, Pitbull and Floyd Mayweather Jr., who have all brought new audiences and business partnerships into the sport in recent years.

For Legacy Motor Club, the move is another step in Johnson’s long-term vision of transforming the organization into more than a race team. The club has steadily expanded its ownership group while looking for new ways to grow its brand beyond Sunday’s race.
On the track, Legacy fields the No. 42 Toyota for John Hunter Nemechek and the No. 43 Toyota driven by Erik Jones as the organization continues its climb in the Cup Series.
