Golfer Michael Brennan is just a couple years into his professional golf career, and he’s already had some major moments to be proud of on the PGA Tour.
Sunday was certainly one of them.
Brennan was able to hold off Beau Hossler and win the Wyndham Championship in Sunday’s final round at Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina. It was his second PGA Tour win. But as Brennan was taking in the win, his mother, Shannon, was quick to remind him what that victory also meant:

He’s going to the Masters.
The 24-year-old’s reaction upon hearing that news was too good. You could just see as the realization set in.
Brennan did make his Masters debut this year and put together a solid 24th-place finish. But by winning a PGA Tour event, Brennan secured an automatic Masters invitation in one of his final remaining chances of 2026. Otherwise, he would have needed to rely on his world ranking, which had him just outside the top 50.
What a cool moment for Brennan and his family. He’ll be back at Augusta National come April.
