It appears golf fans have reached their breaking point with Bryson DeChambeau.
DeChambeau didn’t exactly light up the course at Aronimink Golf Club last week. Despite entering the PGA Championship with a ton of hype, he failed to make the cut. As if his performance wasn’t bad enough, he’s making headlines for firing off controversial takes.

While on the “Katie Miller Pod” this month, DeChambeau offered his thoughts on the moon landing footage from the Apollo 11 mission. Although we’re not really surprised, the two-time U.S. Open champion is convinced the moon landing footage is fake.
“Look, Elon [Musk] says we’ve definitely gone there. So I tend to go that route, because he’s the man that knows quite a bit about all that. Artemis just went around the moon. So I do believe if we spent a lot of our resources like they say we did, I think we did,” DeChambeau said, via Golfweek. “I don’t think the footage is real. But I think we did go to the moon. I don’t know about the footage. It’s quite, it’s quite wild.”

These remarks from DeChambeau didn’t sit well with golf fans. In fact, some of them are officially done supporting him.

“I’ve tried so hard to like Bryson, chalking up his strange behavior to being a bit quirky or whatever,” one fan said. “I’m done. This was it for me. He’s a full blown [expletive].”
“Maybe this bozo should watch less footage of the moon landing and worry more about the practice range with his recent efforts,” a second fan wrote.
“Probably should have kept this one in the content bank after that horrible showing he had last week,” another fan commented.

“Bryson remains a very dumb person’s idea of a genius,” a social media user declared.
It’s been a rough year for Bryson.
Not only has DeChambeau missed the cut in consecutive majors for the first time since 2017, he’s unsure about his future with LIV Golf.
DeChambeau isn’t necessarily against returning to the PGA Tour, but he doesn’t want to be punished for joining LIV.
“The egos need to get dropped,” DeChambeau said. “Everybody needs to come in with a level-headed playing field, with an opportunistic mindset to grow the game of golf. That’s why I came over here. That’s why I do what I do on YouTube.”

We’ll see if DeChambeau snaps out of his slump at the U.S. Open in June.
