Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Shea Theodore is out of the lineup against the Los Angeles Kings with an illness and Kaedan Korczak will enter the lineup as his replacement.

Korczak has been quietly and patiently waiting for his opportunity to make his season debut and the unfortunate illness to Theodore will give him that opportunity. Theodore is off to an electric offensive start scoring one goal and seven points in six games.

Korczak played in 26 NHL games last year recording a goal and nine points. The 23-year-old is listed at 6’3, 203 lbs and is an excellent puck-moving right-handed defenseman who should be able to seamlessly slide into the lineup and play alongside Brayden McNabb.

McNabb is known more for his defensive capabilities which should benefit both him and Korczak. They’ll feel comfortable together with their trust in each other defensively and Korczak can hold more of the puck-moving duties.

The Kings have many offensive threats which will keep the Golden Knights’ blue line on their toes. The two other pairings tonight are Noah Hanifin and Alex Pietrangelo, and Nicolas Hague and Zach Whitecloud. The shortest defenseman in the Golden Knights lineup tonight is 6’2 Whitecloud.
