The Warriors are running it back with one fan favorite.
Gary Payton II and Golden State have agreed on a one-year, $3.9 million contract in NBA free agency, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Saturday, citing sources.
Payton II has spent six of his 10 NBA seasons in the Bay, and he’ll spend Year 11 back with the Warriors.

Last season with Golden State, Payton II averaged 7.5 points on 58.3-percent shooting, with 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 15.6 minutes through 73 games.
The Warriors just re-signed Draymond Green this past week, and now they’re bringing back another member of the band for the 2026-27 NBA season.
