Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with Osimhen for the past two transfer windows, and with the summer window still months away, speculation about a potential move is already picking up.
Now at Galatasaray, Osimhen has rediscovered the form that made him one of the standout performers of the 2022-23 season, attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The Nigerian striker has scored 22 goals and provided five assists in 28 appearances across all competitions this season. According to Give Me Sport, Manchester United have made Osimhen a priority target and could activate his €75 million release clause this summer.
Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu recently reported that both Manchester United and PSG have made official approaches for Osimhen.
Both clubs have submitted verbal offers outlining his salary and contract terms, with plans to trigger his release clause. Meanwhile, Galatasaray manager Amorim is also eager to bring him into the squad.
Galatasaray want to keep Victor Osimhen long-term
Galatasaray wants to keep the Nigerian striker and offer him a long-term contract, but they’ll need to negotiate with Napoli to make it happen. Fans and club assembly members are coming up with ideas to strengthen the team.
At a recent board meeting, Rasim Zaimoglu proposed an ambitious plan to raise the necessary funds and secure Victor Osimhen’s stay.
“There’s nothing like this anywhere else,” Zaimoglu said (h/t Diario AS). “Galatasaray has 35 million fans. If each one chipped in just $1, we’d have $35 million. With $2, that’s $70 million. Some supporters would even be willing to donate $100,000. Let’s launch a campaign and do whatever it takes to keep Osimhen with us.”
