Jose Quintana, who spent the previous two seasons with the Mets, has found a new home.

According to multiple reports, the veteran left-hander is signing a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Quintana, 36, had two quality seasons in a Mets uniform. After making just 13 starts in 2023, Quintana took the mound 31 times during the 2024 regular season, pitching to a 3.75 ERA.

He was even better in the playoffs, when he pitched to a 3.14 ERA in three starts, including what was his defining start in a Mets uniform. In a win-or-go-home Game 3 of the Wild Card series against Milwaukee, Quintana pitched 6.0 shutout innings, allowing just four hits in a game the Mets went on to win thanks to Pete Alonso’s heroics.

But, with Manaea and Montas both likely to start the season on the IL due to injuries suffered during spring training, the window cracked open for a potential return to Queens for Quintana.

That window is now closed, though, so if the Mets are looking to add depth to the rotation, they’ll need to look elsewhere.
