It looks like former Carolina Hurricanes first-round pick and 2010 Calder Trophy winner Jeff Skinner’s NHL career may be over.
Skinner, 34, signed a one-year deal with EHC Biel-Bienne of the Swiss Elite League on Friday.

The 2010 first-round pick spent eight seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes, leading them in goals three times, and eventually moved on to play for the Buffalo Sabres, Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks.
Across 16 seasons, the scoring winger registered 379 goals and 712 points in 1,110 career games.
The talented skater also holds the record for the most games played before an NHL playoff appearance (1,078 games). He finally made his playoff debut in 2025 with the Oilers.
