“We played a great game and got a very good result. We defended very well. The best thing is the result.

Discussing Robert Lewandowski’s contribution, Flick made it clear how crucial the Polish striker is to the team. His presence in the box remains invaluable as he continues to convert chances into goals with consistency.
“I told him you have to score two goals, and he did (laughs). I don’t think we played a good first half.”
Flick also highlighted Ferran Torres’s role in the game, acknowledging how the forward made his mark by scoring a crucial goal after being introduced as a substitute.
“He is very important. He’s special inside the box. But I have to say that Ferran also scored an important goal when he came on. I think we’ve done great.”
Praising Eric Garcia
Another player who earned praise from Flick was Eric Garcia. The manager noted that he has shown significant progress due to his own hard work and professionalism.
Flick admired how Garcia maintains strong connections within the dressing room and how his versatility adds to Barcelona’s tactical options.
“He’s the one who’s done well. He’s very professional, and what I love about him is that he’s well-connected with the rest of the dressing room. Plus, he can play in different positions.”
On Frenkie de Jong
