A Ralph Myhre Golf Course member, Fine-Lease secured a wire-to-wire victory to capture her first Vermont women’s amateur title, wrapping the three-day tournament with a 6-over 228 for a seven-stroke triumph over Teegan Duffy.
Fine-Lease fired the tournament’s lone under-par score, thanks to an eagle on the 18th hole for a first-round 73. The Quinnipiac University redshirt sophomore who was a sectional champion at Queensbury High School in New York was also the field’s lone golfer to break 80 for all three rounds.

She used a quartet of birdies in Wednesday’s second round for a 77 and an eight-shot lead. In Thursday’s finale, Fine-Lease finished the front-nine with an eagle and added another birdie on the back-nine for a 78 to clinch the crown.

Duffy, also a Ralph Myhre member, posted a final-round 75 to seize runner-up honors.
After Duffy, Lin Culver (Neshobe Golf Club) placed third at 14-over, followed by Dorset Field Club’s Keely Culligan at 16-over and Burlington Country Club’s Carson Richards at 23-over to round out the top-five finishers of the 46 competitors.
