In many cases, a PGA Tour event in September wouldn’t be getting much attention, but this one is different.

The 2025 Procore Championship is the first of seven events on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Fall schedule, but it will also serve as the final tune-up for the U.S. Ryder Cup team as they prepare for the international grudge match, which will take place in less than three weeks at Bethpage Black, with the Americans hoping to win the coveted cup back on home soil.

But before they do that, many of them will be teeing it up in Napa, California, next week. The field for the Procore Championship was finalized Friday afternoon. Here’s a look at who is playing.

Who is in the field for the 2025 Procore Championship?

There are 10 members of the U.S. Ryder Cup team set to play in the Procore Championship:

  • Scottie Scheffler
  • J.J. Spaun
  • Harris English
  • Russell Henley
  • Justin Thomas
  • Collin Morikawa
  • Ben Griffin
  • Cameron Young
  • Patrick Cantlay
  • Sam Burns

Here’s a look at the rest of the field:

Xander Schauffele not playing in the Procore Championship

After much discussion about Team USA’s lack of preparation entering the beatdown they suffered at the 2023 Ryder Cup, the pressure was on Captain Keegan Bradley to change something up. That’s why he said his 12-man team would be gathering at the Procore Championship for a final tune-up of sorts.

Of course, Bryson DeChambeau is a member of LIV Golf, so the PGA Tour won’t allow him to compete in Napa, but there’s another name missing from the field list: Xander Schauffele, who was an automatic qualifier for the Ryder Cup after finishing third in the points standings.

Schauffele had a banner year in 2024 with two major championships but struggled for the most part in 2025, recording just three top-10 finishes and ending up 42nd in the FedEx Cup standings to miss out on the Tour Championship.

While speaking to the media during the BMW Championship in mid-August, Schauffele was asked if he planned to play in the Procore Championship: “I don’t know how many guys have signed up or not, but I wouldn’t say there’s an expectation for us to play, but a lot of us do want to play just to stay fresh, knock off some rust. I’ll have an even longer break, so we’ll see how that goes.”

Last week, Schauffele’s agent told Golfweek’s Adam Schupak that Schauffele was “undecided.”

Where is the Procore Championship?

The North Course at the Silverado Resort in Napa, California, will play host to the Procore Championship for the 12th straight year. The Robert Trent Jones Jr. design is a par-72 that measures 7,138 yards.
