Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli have expressed interest in signing Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez (h/t Diario Sport).
Al-Ahli have earmarked the Spaniard as a marquee signing and are ready to submit a lucrative contract proposal.
They are also looking to capitalise on their good relationship with the Catalan giants, who they raided for Franck Kessie in 2023.
Barcelona are open to the idea of selling Lopez as they want to generate funds for new signings.
However, the La Masia graduate is determined to continue his development at Barca and win more silverware.
The 22-year-old had a terrific 2024/25 season, achieving a domestic treble with Barcelona.
Despite not being a regular starter, Lopez played a prominent role under manager Hansi Flick. He concluded the campaign with eight goals and ten assists in 48 appearances.
The La Liga champions have been trying to sign a new left-winger this summer, with Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams topping their wishlist.
Although he is keen on joining Barca, the Catalan club must speed up their sales operation to pay his €58 million release clause.
Defender Ronald Araujo is another saleable asset. AC Milan want to sign the Uruguayan defender, who is valued at €50 million.
