Former All-Pro punter Marquette King is still going at age 36 in the UFL, and he just posted one of the neatest plays of his career.
Now suiting up for the Arlington Renegades, King pulled off the kind of fake some punters only dream of in the second quarter against the Memphis Showboats. He had the ball out and looked so ready to punt a Memphis player ran in front of him to block the kick, then tucked it and ran for a 37-yard gain.
That drive-extending play resulted in a field goal for Arlington, who went on to win 30-12. Their season will end next week as the DC Defenders and St. Louis Battlehawks have already clinched berths in the XFL conference championship game.

King was an at-times effective and at-times controversial punter during his NFL career. He led the league in punting yards in 2014 and earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2016, the same year he received a five-year, $16.5 million contract from the Raiders. By punter standards, it was an enormous deal.
However, personal clashes and some other limitations meant quite a few people were happy to see him go when the Raiders surprisingly cut him in 2018. He found further employment with the Denver Broncos for a season, but was left wondering what happened to his NFL career in 2021. He has been in and out of the XFL and its successor UFL since then.
