President Trump spent the Fourth of July holiday weekend at his golf club in New Jersey.
The President of the United States spent the holiday at the White House on Friday. However, according to reports, he then headed up to New Jersey, to spend time at his private golf club in Bedminster. The President of the United States has multiple private golf clubs that he enjoys spending time at, especially hitting the links.
President Trump spends a lot of time on the golf course, playing several rounds per year – if not more. Some close to President Trump have suggested that he loves golf more than anything.
But this weekend, in the wake of the Texas flooding tragedy, the President of the United States took heat on social media.
Everyone on social media seemed to have the same reaction to President Trump spending time at his golf course in New Jersey rather than heading to Texas.
"20 Children in the United States got washed away by a horrific flash flood in Texas today. And what did Donald Trump do? Of course, he went to play Golf," one fan wrote.
"Trump leaving his golf club this weekend. His golf trips cost taxpayers millions. Why doesn’t he cut those instead of staff at the National Weather Service?" one fan added.
"Children are dead in Texas due to flooding and Trump is at a high end golf course in NJ…. if this were Biden the GOP would be going crazy," one fan added.
"Just a reminder – Trump and Republicans cut over $2.6 Billion in funding to NOAA AND FEMA. However, To date – U.S. tax payers have paid approximately $162 Million for Trump’s 54 golf trips so far this year. Let that sink in," one fan added.

President Trump, meanwhile, released a statement on Texas late on Sunday night.
"I just signed a Major Disaster Declaration for Kerr County, Texas, to ensure that our Brave First Responders immediately have the resources they need. These families are enduring an unimaginable tragedy, with many lives lost, and many still missing. The Trump Administration continues to work closely with State and Local Leaders. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was on the ground yesterday with Governor Greg Abbott, who is working hard to help the people of his Great State. Our incredible U.S. Coast Guard, together with State First Responders, have saved more than 850 lives. GOD BLESS THE FAMILIES, AND GOD BLESS TEXAS!" he wrote.
