ST. PAUL – NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman announced today that the 10-game suspension for Ryan Hartman has been reduced to eight games.

Hartman was given a suspension for roughing Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stützle during a game on Feb. 1.

“I believe that a suspension of eight games should be sufficient to serve as an appropriate wake-up call to Mr. Hartman,” Bettman said in an NHL release. “Causing him to reevaluate his conduct on the ice and make positive changes to his game.”

The Wild forward can now return on March 4th against the Seattle Kraken which is on the road.
