Zuffa Boxing is heading out of the UFC APEX and making its way to New York on July 26. At the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden, Edgar Berlanga takes on Steven Butler.
A two-time amateur medalist, Berlanga (23-2) signed a multi-fight deal with Matchroom to face Canelo Alvarez, who beat Berlanga with ease. Berlanga recovered before getting knocked out against Hamzah Sheeraz last July. Since then, the Puerto Rican signed with Zuffa Boxing.
Now under the Zuffa banner, the 29-year-old Berlanga looks to prove he really is “The Chosen One.”

“Zuffa Boxing is changing the game,” said Berlanga. “I’m here for the biggest fights on boxing’s best platform. I’m here to put the super middleweight division on notice. ‘The Monster’ is back!”
Butler (38-5-1) has primarily fought in Canada. The former NABF middleweight champion, with 32 wins via knockout, failed to capture the WBO title in 2023 and has since gone 6-1. He’s currently on a four-fight win streak.
The co-feature will see the Zuffa Boxing debut of Richardson Hitchins, who takes on Ricardo Salas.
Hitchins (20-0) is a former IBF super lightweight champion. He has beaten the likes of Liam Paro and George Kambosos Jr. Salas (24-2-2) hasn’t lost a fight since 2021 and has already won two bouts in 2026 via knockout.
