Philadelphia Eagles star defensive tackle Jalen Carter told reporters Thursday that the No. 8 chain he was seen wearing after Philly’s 33-26 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday did not belong to Jared Verse.
There was speculation that perhaps Carter and Verse had a prior bet going, given that Verse wears No. 8 and the two had an interesting exchange before January’s playoff matchup between the teams:
Carter appeared to be wearing the chain before the game, however.
