Following the successful qualification for the Champions League, the chances of Gregor Kobel staying put have improved. According to ‘SportBild’, the Swiss player has reportedly discarded his thoughts of transferring.

This would also have direct consequences for Diant Ramaj, who was loaned to FC Copenhagen from BVB last season and was supposed to return this summer. The 23-year-old apparently would not wait for his chance behind Kobel.

“For me, it’s clear: I need to keep playing on the field, getting minutes, game practice. Therefore, it’s clear to me: I won’t be sitting on the bench in Dortmund,” Ramaj makes clear in a conversation with Sport Bild.

His further statements can almost be interpreted as a clear message to BVB: “It’s clear to me that I won’t be coming to Dortmund to line up at the back. I need to play.”

So, the only options would be another loan station or a surprising turn of events with Kobel. In any case, Ramaj is not lacking in self-confidence: “I said that I am the best goalkeeper of the young generation. And I think I have proven that in the past few months.”

According to ‘SportBild’, the goalkeeper would only consider clubs that will participate in the international competition next season and preferably play in one of the top 5 leagues in Europe.
