Dirty Dom Talks Trash on Michael Cole

Dominik Mysterio expressed his displeasure with WWE SmackDown play-by-play announcer Michael Cole in an interview with week.

“F–k Michael Cole. He is the most biased person I have ever met. He does nothing but absolutely trash my name every time I get on TV. He boos me and trash talks me, even when I’m not there. This man has done nothing but bash me, and I feel like I’m the best. But it is what it is.

“I don’t know. Again, he’s probably jealous that he’s losing his hair while I’m gaining it over here. You know, the hair that he’s lost? Maybe it’s right there! I would love a one-on-one with Michael Cole. He’s undefeated at WrestleMania, but I’d love to slap him around.”

To Dominik’s point, Cole often has less-than-flattering things to say about him on commentary, which is now surprise given that Mysterio is one of WWE’s most dastardly heels.

Ever since he turned heel and joined The Judgment Day in 2022, Mysterio has been a heat magnet, and he has become more and more hated by the WWE Universe as time has gone on.

At SummerSlam back in August, Dominik turned on Rhea Ripley by helping Liv Morgan defeat her and retain the Women’s World Championship.

Based on how popular Ripley has become, that move made Dominik even more hated, and most fans were elated to see him hanging from a shark cage during a match between Ripley and Morgan at Bad Blood earlier this month.

Dominik’s comments regarding Cole were quite obviously a case of him being in character, and they should only help him in terms of getting his desired reaction from the WWE fanbase.

Rhodes vs. Owens Reportedly Planned for Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE is reportedly setting the stage for WWE champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens to clash on a huge, upcoming television spectacular.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestleTalk), Rhodes vs. Owens is planned for the return episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will take place at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, on Dec. 14.

Saturday Night’s Main Event was a WWE fixture during the 1980s and into the 1990s. It was brought back briefly from 2006 to 2008, but December will mark the first episode in over 16 years.

Given that Saturday Night’s Main Event will be simulcast on NBC and Peacock, there is little doubt that WWE will want to deliver a massive card for the two-hour spectacular.

Rhodes is WWE’s biggest star along with Roman Reigns, and he is a strong candidate to headline the show, especially since he is in the midst of a budding rivalry.

For months, Rhodes and Owens worked together to combat The Bloodline, but KO turned on Cody after Bad Blood by attacking him in the parking lot.

Ever since then, WWE has run an angle in which Owens has claimed he is being suppressed by Rhodes and WWE as a whole, as he has been denied mic time and an opportunity to explain his actions.

Because of the real-life feel the storyline has, there is a great deal of buzz and intrigue surrounding Rhodes vs. Owens, making it a great choice to be one of the top matches on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

WWE Reportedly Surprised By Reaction to Breakker/Fatu Confrontation

The fan reaction to the stare-down between Bron Breakker and Jacob Fatu on Monday night’s episode of Raw reportedly raised some eyebrows within WWE.

According to WrestleVotes (h/t Mukherjee), the live crowd’s response to Breakker and Fatu was “significantly larger than anticipated” and created more excitement than most backstage in WWE expected.

Breakker faced Jey Uso in a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship on Raw, and it featured a great deal of interference by The Bloodline.

After Uso confronted The Bloodline on SmackDown and questioned Solo Sikoa’s methods, the entire group showed up at Raw and aimed to cost Jey the title he won just a few weeks earlier.

The Bloodline were successful, as Breakker ended up winning the match after Fatu hit Uso with a Samoan Drop through the announce table and Bron subsequently hit Jey with a spear.

However, there was a brief moment during the interference when Breakker and Fatu came face to face outside the ring, and it clearly got the live crowd buzzing.

Given that Breakker and Fatu are two of the most physically impressive and dominant Superstars in WWE, it perhaps should not have come as much of a surprise that the WWE Universe was intrigued by their faceoff.

It seems unlikely that Breakker vs. Fatu is going to happen any time soon since they are both heels and are technically on different shows, but it is something WWE can put in its back pocket and save for a big moment down the road.
