The season ended in disappointment for Brooks, not because of his play but because he was one of the biggest Pro Bowl snubs in the league. He finished the season with a league-best 183 total tackles, including a league-best 99 solo tackles. He was named First-Team All-Pro, only making the Pro Bowl snub even more egregious. He is a beast in the middle of the Dolphins’ defense, especially as a run supporter and he is solid at creating pressure on quarterbacks when asked to blitz. Brooks is the field general for the defense and his 2025 season reinforced that role.

2026 expectations

Pro Bowl. All-Pro. Among the league leaders in tackles. Those seem reasonable expectations for Brooks in 2026. The Dolphins should be working to sign him to a contract extension this summer, locking him up for the future as they build a defense around him. There is no doubt Brooks will man the middle of the Dolphins’ defense this year.
