In one of the most special moments of his NASCAR career, Daniel Suárez survived a late-race restart to win his home race in the Xfinity Series at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

Despite crashing early Saturday morning in qualifying and starting at the rear of the field in a backup car, the native of Monterrey, Mexico, led 19 of 65 laps in the No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet on the road to Victory Lane in Mexico City.

Suárez secured the lead on the restart at the beginning of the final stage when Connor Zilisch and Ty Gibbs were taken out of contention in a multicar wreck.
