The Dallas Cowboys offense will be fine. It just didn’t show up for Week 1.
A week of questions followed the Cowboys after an opening game loss to the New York Giants. Dallas was hyped up all offseason, talked often about making a Super Bowl, then was humbled in Week 1. The second week was a much different story.

Prescott’s fourth touchdown, on a circus catch by CeeDee Lamb in the end zone, set the franchise record for most touchdown passes. It was his 249th career touchdown pass, which moved him past Tony Romo on the Cowboys’ all-time list.
That record-breaking touchdown gave the Cowboys a 37-20 lead, and that would be the final score in Dallas’ win. It was a much different Cowboys offense than in Week 1, when Dallas lost 28-20. Prescott made sure the Cowboys didn’t have a second straight poor performance to start the season.
The Cowboys defense was improved as well, though its job got easier when Jayden Daniels suffered an elbow injury on the final play of the first half and did not return.
