There were several milestones for the Pittsburgh Penguins during their 6-5 overtime loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday.

And two of them – once again – came from their captain.

Sidney Crosby continues to climb all-time NHL lists, and he did so twice on Sunday, registering a goal and two assists. His first-period power play goal was the 611th of his NHL career, which made him officially surpass Bobby Hull for sole possession of 18th on the NHL’s all-time goal-scoring list.

In addition, a second-period assist on Bryan Rust’s goal gave Crosby 1,050 for his career, officially entering him into the top-10 on the NHL’s all-time assists list by surpassing Gordie Howe.

Next up for Crosby on the all-time goal list is Jarome Iginla at 625, while he needs 13 more assists to tie Steve Yzerman at ninth place on the assists list with 1,063.

During the game, forward Rickard Rakell also hit a milestone, as his first-period goal gave him 500 points for his NHL career, making him just the 37th Swedish-born player in NHL history to reach that mark.
